Well the fact that there is nothing at all on any dlc other than past comments of none planned, and now the whole downsizing fiasco - pretty much sucked the life out of my andromeda enthusiasm- was looking forward to more. Now can't even bring myself to fire up the game. There's no point in being enthusastic if this is all we get. A few patches and MP suff.

Certainly it'll take great effort from many fans to deposit any more trust on the game.

And now seeing how an alpha version of the game from 2014 looked better than the actual game, it makes one really wonder ... what the heck happened.
Not sure if this will answer your question... just watched this...
I almost can't tell how disappointed I am with the 1.06 patch.
They almost only fixed cosmetics. There is only one bug fix that is needful for me.
But although the patch log speaks of improved performance and stabilty I have massive performance/stability issues since 1.06.
In my 200 hours gameplay before 1.06 I had a fps range between 50 and 60. Now it is between 23 (!!!) and 60. What the ****.With every patch they put more cosmetics in it but also more problems.
I won't wait another month.
If they don't come up with real fixes or at least some more communication about it, I'll jsut delete the game and maybe give it a try in 1 or 2 years. In one of the tweets announcing 1.06 one of the devs said they are going right into 1.07 - so i am hoping its out in the next 2 weeks as opposed to a month like the last one..
...I have said this a number of times, but man - this game could have been sooo good at launch and received much better reviews if EA just gave/let Bioware have 2-3 extra months of dev time. There would have been none of the bad press about the lip syncing/animations and they could have effectively released as 1.07 being 1.00 if you get my drift... \
While some people may not really care - there was an article i read today saying Mass Effect is on hiatus - meaning no sequel to this or a new ME game for quite a while, beyond the normal 2-4 year or so dev time... This is directly related to poor sales which is directly related to poor reviews which is a direct result of bugs/issues which is directly related to EA being greedy and not giving Bioware enough time...This sux so bad as ME is seriously one of my favourite game series ever, and it seems EA has totally messed this up...
I hope the talk of Hiatus is wrong or blown out of proportion - i hope there will be another ME in 2-3 years (even if they chill back on the open world/scope and go back to a more focused (but still non-linear) style like ME2)
Back on track ... I think/hope patch 1.07 will be out in about 2 weeks...
(I freaking love ME:A - Just not how EA has handled the situation)
@nickc2496 I read about the hiatus too. And I totally agree with you that BioWare should have had more time. The poor reviews are not all fair in my opinion and there is a lot of hate going on I can't understand even though I went through disappintment and frustration with the game. It's a good game and I enjoyed it, but there is still need to fix a lot of things. Especially quests. I mean whats the point in a game if you can't do quests and story?
Its a nice plus to have good animation, new skins and clothes, but I want a game I can complete to 100%!
Well the reason I am so disappointed right now is that I really enjoyed Andromeda. I was looking forward to start a new playhtrough with the new patch, but every patch just brings more issues for me.
There are so many quests that sill can't be completed and even reports that the fixed quests (Nomad shield for example) are not being completed after the patch.
I just don't want to look forward to a new patch every month just to see that they still don't get it.I'm waiting for them to fix the character creator because I can't stand looking at my Ryder for hundreds of hours. If they never fix it, I'll never pick the game up again. I'm so disappointed with the characters/story after one play through I would at least like to be able to make a decent Ryder. I pre ordered and bought the deluxe edition and I'm really feeling the bitterness about this game two months later.

We know right? Lighting too, details and the face of the guy, Jesus. It's so depressing that it made me laugh, the sort of laugh that only despair manages to cause?

That's depressing actually.
I hadn't mentioned that the lighting sucked as well, but this is just raw.
I'm thinking they were on their way of doing a good job and then decided to stop it and automate all the visuals like animations, scrapping what they'd done so far. And what for? They took a risk and I think they lost. They thought they could get away with this and people would still be happy enough and well, we all know the general response.
The game does have a lot of good stuff in it still but yeah, the visuals is what people look at for all those hours and it's really depressing to see this.
On top of that I just saw those changes they did just with the release patch and noticed that FemRyder was much better looking in the Beta than the actual release also...So after on left and before on the right...
I mean, is this for real? What the heck motivated this change?
