During the initial attack, the Scourge stuck everywhere that Jardaan tech existed all across the cluster. But now it only reacts to Remnant tech in relative close proximity. One thing that I think is sort of ignored is that the Scourge is made up of unstable space-time and (as I understand it) artificial eezo, with most of its mass coming from (supposedly) several planets.
I think the writers don't get how big space is. And how much matter that would require, so I'll go with it required several large planets worth of matter the instigate, but that most of it's mass is created from the space-time warp.
If they could figure out how to degauss the Scourge, would you get normal Eezo afterwards?
