Account Invalid

Note:

This is for my Xbox account and it is NOT linked to an EA account. Do not suggest to link it to an EA account because when it tries it says that my account is invalid. Therefore do not ask me to change my password, because I do not have one.

Now:

I have been playing Mass Effect on my Xbox One for years with backwards compatibility. I decided to play the game after a long time away and started Mass Effect 3. I could play Mass Effect 1 and 2 with no errors but when I try to log into Mass Effect 3 I get the following error message: "Sorry. This account is currently invalid. Please try again or review the account details." Which is incredibly frustrating because this means my progress will not transfer.

I cannot simply switch to another profile. I play the game on disk, always have, and never had a problem before. I do not know why EA even wants to prevent me from playing the game. I cannot link it to an EA account, I cannot change a password I do not have, I have already restarted my Xbox and did hard reboot complete with reinstalling the game from scratch. At this point I am out of options and contacting you with the only EA account that I have. Please do not suggest the things that I have stated. Please just help me with my problem so that I can play this wonderful game that I have paid for. I have all DLCs on this account and multiple characters.

    Hi @dekkerclan

A known problem for this in the past has been account verification, so you might be best contacting an EA adviser so they can look into your account and allow you to link it.

To contact an EA adviser use the following link: https://help.ea.com/en/contact-us/

Select Origin>Choose Platform>Manage Account and then choose the relevant topic or option and then select an available contact option

As I said, I do not have an account. Just an Xbox account that is not associated with EA. I have no idea why this is happening. In the meanwhile I am turning off my internet every time I want to play. It's annoying but it seems to be working. I wouldn't exactly call it a 'fix' and I'm still hoping to fix it.

I've played Mass Effect 3 for like 8 years without one so that's not the problem.

@dekkerclan In this case I believe that you likely do have an EA account, just one that's gone quiet. It's been a minute since dealing with anything ME3-related but I believe an EA account was mandatory, even if it was just quietly linked the forgotten about.

Can you log into help.ea.com using the Xbox portal? That should then put you on some form of EA account, at which point you can try the aforementioned password reset.

You can review (or update) account details on this page too: https://myaccount.ea.com/cp-ui/aboutme/index?gameId=ebisu
