Analog Stick Deadzone Reason?

Is there any particular reason that controllers have a deadzone in Andromeda? I can't think of any one who wants this, how would it improve the experience? By gimping aiming on console even further? If we could look into removing this right away (or atleast adding a slider if some people want it for whatever reason) that'd be great and would be a very easy fix. (For those who don't know what a deadzone is, it's how long you have to move your stick before the game registers that you are actually doing something. Makes precision aiming much more difficult for no good reason).

  • Put quite simply, deadzones exist because analog sticks wear out over time. If there weren't any deadzones, then a stick that's just mildly worn out would send erroneous input that the game would interpret as legitimate player input.

  • Ok, but that's not a really good reason for it to be how it is now. If that's true, then they could easily lower it to a fraction of what it is now, way too much of a deadzone exists.
