Andromeda and 10 bit color.
So i have a Dell U3014 and it has full 100% rgb 10 bit color support. It is NOT a full HDR monitor though and this leads me to my question. I have Andromeda settings set to auto detect and it does come up with 2 choices for my monitor. HDR10 or Dolby Vision. I have seen videos where 8 bit monitors do not have this option available. From what i am gathering the game will detect and use as much " color space " available on the monitor it is connected to correct ?. The way i am figuring it is the game is using my full 10 bit color space which enables the HDR10 and Dolby Vision options.
I also have the framebuffer format set to half 16 64 bit as i am assuming it enables a better gradient in colors as my monitor can handle that as well. I see no banding with this on.
So are my theories correct ? does Andromeda make full use , as much as possible of 10 bit color wide gamut monitors like mine ?
