Andromeda won't download, says 'issue' and purge/app reinstall doesn't fix

Today I bought Andromeda, it downloaded up to 14%, my pc automatically fell asleep and when I woke it up it had stopped. I clicked resume and it said "There is a problem with your download". I canceled it and reinitiated it, went back to 14% and after the 'preparing download' phase was done the same message poped up. I cleared all the caches and purged all Andromeda files, happened again. After two or three tires of that, I completely uninstalled the EA App and when I tried again, it still said the same thing.

    When I relaunched the app it was in my library but said "update required", clicking update would crash the app. I was able to fix it by going to the 'three dot menu' in the top right of the game icon and selecting 'repair'. The first try didn't work but I did it a second time and it seemed to work. Hope that helps

  • I have the same issue. tried all listed solutions a few times to no avail. Other games download and plays fine.

    Edit: Managed to get the download started by copying an old backup of the game from my NAS to the game folder. Unfortunately it had to re-download the entire game anyway but the game launched and I played for a while without issues.

    Did you try what I detailed above? Worked for me after that

  • I'm having the same issue installing it on a new laptop on the EA App coming from my older PC using Origin. I was able to get the game and 3/4 DLC to install, but I can't get the Deluxe Edition content to install for the life of me. It sticks at 14% with the error message, same as you described.

    I'm not happy with the EA App. Origin was much better, IMHO.

    @ebondefender

    Try reinstalling origin, close the EA app so it's not open at all, open origin log in and the pop up to download the EA app will show up but if you wait for a couple of minutes it should start to download and repair game files. Just wait until it's done and then make sure you close it and reopen the EA app. I had the same problem with Sims 4 and somebody suggested that and it worked for me. Currently ME:A just won't even go past preparing for me ☹️
