@Bowi_QC I understand it like this: Old ME games used DX9 and "Legendary" ME is using DX11. In DX9 you could use good AA options for sharper graphics. But not in DX11, for some reason ("missing flags" ?). And I think it has something to do with the game still being in the old Unreal 3 engine. And apparently, that's a bad mix, or something.
I am trying to understand why they would migrate it to DX11 in the first place, if it makes the game looks so much worse with all the jaggies. But I am guessing they did it to utilize the newer systems for the older games so the games could: 1). Run in higher resolution and 2). Load faster.
The way I see it, they advertized the good things about "Legendary" (4k HDR, enhanced ME1, all DLCs) edition and deliberately omitted the bad ones (jaggies, no real improvement in ME2 and ME3).
I never felt so cheated after buying a game. They were supposed to give us a polished remaster of the old classics. And instead, the shimmering jaggies makes me regret so much wasting over 60 euro on games that I already have. Games I could have modded and played without these annoyances.
So, I'm not even sure what to expect now. Not sure if it's even possible to fix it. Not sure if it's viable for them to fix it, if it is possible. I am just on the verge of accepting this whole fiasco, trying to ignore the jaggies -- even thought it's hard -- and finish this game as it is.
Because my next playthrough will be on my original modded games without any problems. And neither BioWare, nor EA games will have another dime from me.
