i'm really tempted, however i said i'd wait to buy MEA till it was on sale & actual gamers reviewed it, and what did i end up doing? i preordered the deluxe edition. i obviously can't seem to stick to my guns.
Lol, I preorder Deluxe too, and I love the game for the most part. I do want to see the bugs and such fixed, but I have over 200 hours in the game, 90%+ single player. If they fix MP, cool, I may play a few matches, if they don't, cool, I may play a few matches.....but I want the SP bugs fixed. They did say there were going to do both MP and SP bug hunting, they just didn't specify what and how much, and instead spent the time discussing MP balance and changes. Will see after the next update how much is smoke and how much is truth.

I tend to put such things a bit in perspective. When I go to the movies here it costs around 10-12 bucks. I have 2 hours worth of movie and when it's done, I have to pay to see it again. Do I always like everything in a movie? Of course not. In the end a movie is not made just to make me personally happy. Are the special effects always great and believable? Also no.
Then I buy ME:A that you play for hundreds of hours and you get to keep it and play it as often as you want. I get the deluxe and it cost 70 bucks.
Now, it's not the same medium, but for the amount of entertainment I've already gotten out of this game, there's no way I can honestly contend that I didn't get my money's worth. Most single player games these days, well, you're lucky to get 30 hours of gameplay in a playthrough.
Of course there are bugs. There are issues. I don't think anybody here is saying all is well. At the same time though I don't think it makes sense to worry about whether or not you spent your money wisely if you've played hundreds of hours into this game. You may have expected more or better and that's certainly fair enough, but for me a waste of money is game that I can't get myself to play for more than a few hours because it's that uninspiring or has such poor mechanics.
So that's kinda how I put these things in perspective. Take it for what it's worth.

Well if that's all they cared for they wouldn't have made such a long single player campaing.
And to be honest there were a lot of issues that made MP difficult to play if I have to believe the posters here. So perhaps it made sense to focus on that for this livestream.
But to say that there's been absolutely no communication and not a single idea of what they're working on is simply not true. Now, I am also more interested in the single player stuff, so I am also hoping that we get some news about that too.

Listen, you made a general statement that we've heard NOTHING. That's factually untrue. That's all. I agree that it's been a long time that we heard anything about the SP fixes we're hoping for.

You're speaking English fine and I imagine most understood what you were trying to say and many native speakers would have worded things similarly as most people don't speak literally. I mean even when the word "literally" is used it is often not meant to be taken literally, lol.
But back on point, it does seem like they (at least now) are more focused on the multi-player aspect than the single player and there could be a number of reasons as to why. The micro-transactions are quite the incentive to focus on multiplayer.
But it could also be maybe they feel it is more broken than single player (not saying I agree) or perhaps they feel like they already put more focus in single player than multi so now they are trying to focus more on multi.
Who can say for sure other than them?
@PretzleMe @EgoMania the thing is as far as i know they havent given us a date.. furthermore they DID NOT get their data from players, they got their data from "telemetry" (they even said it right on the live stream). they looked at what weapons are used the most/least and adjusted them as they saw fit. never once did they say they read the forums or anything like that. also.. they arent making anything off the microtransactions! only a fool would do it for one thing and for another at best you can probably buy your way to apex 12000 if you were to spend around 300$, by then you are paying about 25$ for each n7 you still need and as you get more and more of them that number goes up.
oh.. dont compare videogames to movies, its about the worst comparison you can make. may as well compare how much you spent on a wife and say "..and shes lasted me 12 years" or a meal at a 5 star restaurant "may have cost 50$ but that was 1 delicious 3/4 lb steak!". compare it to the hundreds of hours you get out of terraria or minecraft for 20$ (or 1$..), compare it to the thousands of hours you get out of civ 5 or some f2p mmo like path of exile, atleast then you are in the right neighborhood.

It's not about making an exact comparison. I have a life with a full-time job and a limited number of hours of free time.
I make a decent living but I do have a limit on how much I can spend in my free time, after all the bills are paid. And though I do not have the same expectations of a night out going to the movies and may catching dinner, just that one night of going out to the movies and have dinner with my wife will set me back more than the price of a video game.
That's just a simple fact. It's not the same activity and it has a different value but within the limits of how much free time I have and how much money I have to spend I do see that if I like a video game enough to spend many hours in it, it's a good value to me.
Now for me to love the game completely and be full of praise about it, that's another thing. I have too much criticism of the game at the moment to go to that point, but not enough criticism to say I threw the game out after 10 hours of play and I'll neve touch it again.

Anyway, sure. I agree but it doesn't make the comparison any weaker. Comparisons aren't meant to be truly exact in every way, only in the key aspects relevant to what someone is trying to say.
And in this case, I do believe the comparison does help in making their point easier to understand, whether people agree with it or not, and so I think (despite what you said sounding epic) the comparison is a good/fair one. But that's just my opinion.
