Is there any word on if there be a way to change your saved game character looks when the character creator gets updated? Or will you have to start a new game to take advantage of the fix?
i think you will most likely have to start a new game+ and edit the changes you want. i doubt they will allow us to make changes to a in progress game. it sucks but most players will be doing multiple playthroughs anyways.

The new game+ is the option you get for getting done with the game? It allows you to change the looks?
Does it allow you to do anything else? Like what's different between that and just starting a new game?

You keep your level, all your inventory etc but your Nexus level is reset. So far there seems very little different, I had hoped you wouldnt have to do all the rubbish open world stuff you've already completed in the previous play-through, but because most of it gives Andromeda Viability xp and your Nexus level is reset, you are stuck redoing stuff.
I'd only recommend New Game+ if you want to switch it up a bit. I went in on Insanity difficulty and switched from Tech focus to Biotics... I will also make different choices in order to see if anything makes a difference when you inevitably transfer the save game over to ME:A2. If none of that appeals to you, don't bother with New Game+.
That's nice to know, and thanks for the heads up. Still, I hope they will allow us to edit the save.
I also hope in the next game there will be no or way less collect items missions or grinding side missions.

it starts a new game but with all your current combat xp. you have to complete the story once before it unlocks. and yes you can change your looks as well as your sex. meaning if you started as sara you can continue as scott. all weapons, armor, research points, items, credits and skills will follow you. this includes the materials you collected as well. if you start a new game without using new game+ you don't get anything. its a clean start. that's the difference. (your AVP and your nexus level will reset to level one.)
i just started a new game+ and that is the source of all my info :D
EDIT: you can switch the bonus you get at the start as well with new game+ meaning if you want to get biotic boost or tech boost ect you can change that starting option. you wont be limited to using the same skills as before. you can always reset skill points in the med-bay on the tempest if you want to move points around.

Would be really, really, REALLY nice to have a ME version of the "The Black Emporium"!

They could easily just add a facial reconstruction terminal to the medbay of our ship.
Skyrim had the option to change midgame and that was 5 years ago no - there's literally no excuse for Bioware not to be able to pull this off. Yeppers ! I agree with the allow change character. No matter how hard I try to m,ake the perfect face, I get in the game, and soon realize, I should have made something smaller, the lipstick should have been lighter, the nose is to big. It really is hard to continue the game sometimes if your character is just a little to UGLY.
Yes I am very material oriented, and looks mean a lot to me ( It is My fantasy after all, and I don't want to romance, and UGLY prince or Princess ). So yes I truly hate the UGLY people in this game.

This is actually a major thing. During normal gameplay, what you made normally looks OK. But in giving lighting or in many of the cutscenes, it looks massively worst and different.
You almost have to change your person mid-game to fix some of the problems since you don't get the lighting like in the cutscenes in the maker.
I just wish they would offically say if they will allow us or not to change the looks.
Note, how far off is it to really have plastic surgeon within the group of millions or billions of people. It would be a given there would be a few on the med staff for things like burns, cuts, etc.
