Apex HQ app - device compatibility

I recently upgraded my phone to a Pixel 7 and am not able to download the Apex HQ. I can still see it in the Google Play store but there is an error stating:

"Your device isn't compatible with this version".

I'm guessing there won't be any updates in the future for the app to continue to support compatibility with new smartphones?

@SSgt_Engee I reached out on this and a few other things with the game. What it comes down to is when you install the app, any errors about compatibility won't run at this point. There have not been any updates to the app, and you can't change the compatibility of the app on mobile. I looked around for more info on it but the only thing I could find was to alter your device which we cannot actually ask players to do.

@SSgt_Engee This app has not been updated in a while from what I can see. Support for the game and app is extremely limited at this point. I logged in on iOS to see if it worked and I was able to log in, so you should be able to.

If your Android is updated to the latest version of the OS, you can log into your Google Play Here and it will show you your available devices. If your device is compatible, there would be an install button even on the website for you to send to the device.

    Hi there,

Sadly it is not compatible and I'm not sure why.

My new is an Android smartphone (Pixel 7) like my last phone (Pixel 4a (5G)). My Pixel 4a 5G was on Android version 13 just like my new Pixel 7 and both had the latest security patch available. So I guess I'm just trying to figure out why it doesn't want to work. When I manually search for the app, in the play store I can't find it. When I follow your link on my Pixel 7, it brings up the app listing, but there is no install button, just red text that says:

"Your device isn't compatible with this version".

This just really puzzles me because the app for the Star Wars Old Republic Security Key hasn't been updated since 2015. Yet I was still able to download and install on my Pixel 7, and update my SWTOR account with it.

The Mass Effect Andromeda APEX HQ app is 2 years younger (2017), but I'm guessing there are no plans at this point to update the app for newer hardware/phones? If you could inquire I would appreciate it.

Thanks for the getting the answer. I don't know if you can provide any sort of feedback to the team that is working on the next Mass Effect game or not, but if by any way that you can, please respectfully request that they don't implement something like this in the game.

While I very much so appreciate the functionality in the Apex HQ, if the support for future Mass Effect games' connected/integrated apps is going to be discontinued for newer devices in the future after a few years, it is best to avoid creating an app altogether. I understand that by the nature of technology and player numbers dwindling over time, forces support to be phased out or made obsolete eventually. Especially if there is a lack of funding. However, the makers of the SWTOR authenticator app took the time to update device compatibility for an app for a game that people still play without adding additional functionality to the app itself.
