@J2THE30301The Original Trilogy is honestly a 8/10 in my book while the LE is a 6 or a 5 out of 10 because while it includes wonderful graphical upgrades and all the DLC it still carries many of it's glitches from the original that modders are now working to fix again on a new engine for free as far as I am concerned without any recognition from Bioware while at the same time they have seemingly abandoned the game.
The MOD's spend their time here telling the users to either install fan made MOD files or spend time to help us fix them, on some occasions they admit they can't do anything as those are things that need patches from Bioware but, Bioware seemingly quietly abandoned the game.
They did this with ME: Andromeda, they did this with Anthem (when they told people do not expect any sort of No Man Sky situation for the game as after a year of the game going silent without news of patches) and what they are seemingly doing for this game remastered versions.
I am glad that you enjoy these games but your impressions on the LE sound more like nostalgia we have for the series than what the LE really is.
If this is what Bioware will keep doing from now on then I can't see why people will be more than willing to keep supporting them.

Both the original Mass Effect trilogy and the Legendary Edition run on the same engine (Unreal Engine 3).
- draconiam4 years agoSeasoned Ace@Fred_vdp Thanks for the correction, modders are making patches (some of which are ports from the Original Trilogy on PC) for the PC versions using the same game engine for things such as community patches done years ago.
@J2THE30301 if you have a PC chances are some of your issues have been resolved by the community already, the question will be if they get ported to consoles by Bioware (since I can't be linking MOD links in the threads as they go against the rules here I have to recommend you check the Official Moderator thread for links that they posted and if you cannot find your issue there it may be a system problem or you could find the solution in the Nexus page (read instructions, the contents of the things they do in the game and check the reception of the MOD in question to make sure you don't suffer issues with your game files).
Enjoy the game, but I cannot be enjoying it anymore other than doing the occasional playthrough (I finished my second round of ME Andromeda and boy did that game got so much un needed hate as at least it got to a point where it was tolerable and the story picked up from the half to the ending) when the fans have seemingly done more for it's post launch technical support for free apparently and that said company might be implementing this method of work into their future products.
The hopeful in me says they are testing the MOD patches so as to implement them into the console versions, and to give the needed credit to the hard working modder community, but the realistic in me says otherwise.- SofaJockeyUK4 years agoHero+
I too am looking forward to ME5, though I suspect the wait will be a long one.
2025 earliest?

I don't expect it to be much sooner either.
