I have no idea what you mean by that?
And yes, I know why they do it, but there are benefits for the customer as well.
I like digital download and I am pretty sure many others do as well.
I can buy game in the middle of the night and play it a half hour later.
A physical medium can get defective, a digital download is easily to repair.
You can Pre-Download the game and have it ready to play in the minute of release.
No clutter, and If I want a physical box I can buy a collectors edition or make it by my own.
But the most important point is that modern PCs often simply miss blue ray or DVD drives.
The main issue with digital downloads is not everyone has access to Broadband Internet. This is especially true for those of us in RURAL AREAS of the United States & military personnel. The U.S has the absolute SLOWEST internet speeds vs the rest of the world on average. U.S consumers also pay the HIGHEST PRICES for Internet access on average vs the rest of the world despite having the slowest average internet speeds. I prefer hard physical copies for the simple fact that I own the game/product in question unlike a digital download... A digital download is merely a LICENSE to have access to/play the game/product in question.
