Camera angle and aiming ME1

A bug I encountered during the game. Aiming points forward as the character stands sideways.  I was experiencing this situation when I first played ME1.

I would be glad if anyone understands this situation and wants to write more explanatory.

  • Having the same problem here on the PC (Steam) version, using an Xbox controller. Had this happen several times now in ME1 and ME2, where Shepard will be facing a different direction than the 3rd person camera (sometimes backwards), while both in and out of combat, but it seems to occur more frequently at the times when weapons are out. It prevents taking cover and effective use of powers, since Shepard is pointing the wrong way even though the reticle is pointing at an enemy. Aiming down sights, using powers, going in/out of weapon power menus, etc don't seem to have any effect to cancel/correct it. After awhile it will snap back to the correct orientation, but not sure what triggers this. Also not sure exactly how to reproduce it, though perhaps it's a combination of movement along with getting in/out of cover.

  • Same here, but it happens in all 3 games. Camera locks in place. Only thing I can do is save and reload. Happens during fights also.

Happened once to me in ME1, aiming with a Sniper rifle helped.

  • During my first playthrough of the remaster it never happened. During my second playthrough it has. Was Soldier class the first time. Now I'm Sentinel. Wonder if it has to do with other classes and not Soldier...unless it would happen now.

For me it usually happens just after I use a power, or come out of a menu and do some action.  It has happened several times over two different classes of characters.

In my current playthrough of ME2 where this happened, my Shepard is a Sentinel class. It's a fresh character and not an import though, I went with Infiltrator class in ME1 and this camera bug happened there as well.
