I have just been in Live Chat support with an Advisor regarding this. Apparently the last update on the issue was 30/10/2014 and is still being worked on. I would suggest that if you are having this issue to contact a live advisor. I also asked them to reopen this thread and to take down the outrageous "Solution" that is, to be quite frank, embarrasing.
It's been 4 months... come on EA, get your **bleep** together. People still play this game and want to spend money on it.

It's been a while since I've played ME3 mutliplayer, but I felt like it last night. Fired it up, bought $20 worth of bioware points to get some guns (because why not, I'm an adult with a steady source of income 🙂 only to run into this problem. It's total BS. WTF? If they've known about this problem for 5 months and haven't fixed it, they should at least disable the ability to buy knew bioware points through the Me3 interface.
