Everything was going fine until I got the the "Normandy Dry Dock" mission. from multiple save files the game will freeze everytime I try and board the normandy. It happens immediately after Shepard comments about how a toothbrush saved the ship. Then the video freezes and the last dialogue spoken just loops. (Edit: this is happening on my xbox, and it makes the console totally unresponsive)
I am having the freezing issue in Citadel DLC at the same point in the Archives after stepping into the transport from the platform. Right after the dialog "Accessing Vault T91" the sound starts looping. The only way out is to restart the computer. Tried different sound hardware and replaying from different points before the freeze point, but no luck.
I have a similar problem but a little bit after, when (spoiler) team mako is surrounded and the cinematic plays.
2 or 3 seconds after being able to control shepard, the game freezes and i'm forced to restart my computer.
Solved Update: Repairing the installation was not successful. However, after installing the game again on another system with faster internet connection, and then replacing the Citadel DLC files on the the computer that had the freezing issue with the newer Citadel DLC install files, I have been able to continue through the DLC.
In my case it seems corrupted download/files were the problem. Best of luck.
