Whenever I try to invite someone up to my apartment I instead get Glyph telling me how I want my party. I don't get to meet with the selected character and I lose the ability to invite them in the Invite menu on the terminal.
How do i fix this?
It appears you accidentaly selected "invite all" and therefore started the party event. You'll either have to finish the party and then invite the others up, or load an earlier savegame.

Just had this problem but solved it by restarting the party mission so no need to load an earlier save game.
Very late, but if anyone else runs into this on the Legendary Edition you can use the Mass Effect Save Editor mod from Nexus mods and uncheck the "default invited" in the "Raw Plot > Booleans" section on your ME3 save. GL!
