Corrupt Cloud save interrupting battle loot

As cloud save went corrupt, I deleted all the currently running saves. All that I couldn't delete was the old save at the server side of my previous playthrough which the user can't delete anyway else. So I have to start all over again to test whether it's working or not. Since I want to start all afresh from level 1 so I don't play on my level 50 save of previous playthrough. Mass Effect 1 allows you to play on level 50 save & to take it to level 60 for some game achievement.

Checked level 50 as suggested by you, surprisingly the enemy dropped items in minor battle earlier than first major battle. But at level 1, it didn't neither in second nor anywhere unless you play offline when it does upto certain minimal extent & as you proceed further it does offline again but nothing online but still it's pretty low than usual. Also, the items recovered in first crate only changes after rewriting autosave ( replaying ) but in my case, it changes automatically in fresh playthrough. Also if you play offline, the game hangs at all the places which doesn't occur online though. As I explored this issue online, only working solution I received was to play offline as cloud save is corrupt. Not just mass effect, abrupt power shutdown can damage any game.

Everything worked fine earlier on older machine till the cloud save went corrupt due to abrupt shutdown. It took many days to get the app working first but game recovered a bit & then went fully corrupt again. Now the machine is much upgraded too but of no use.

Apologies to confirm testing on an older lvl 50 save allows you get loot again? 

If so, then we may need to to start a new game if you don't have an backup saves from the game that got corrupt if you don't want to play on the lvl 50 saves.

@EA_Illium As you complete mass effect pc game, you reach level 50. If you play it again, either you can start all afresh at level 1 or you can play as level 50 & reach to level 60. The game stores your complete playthroughs to transfer it to mass effect 2.

Cloud saves are not loaded into the game, just the local saves on your hard drive.

If you delete the saves in game they are not loaded back by the cloud save system the next time you start the game, this way you can delete any corrupt save you have.
