Tann does specifically say they hopes the Quarrians would be in the first wave. That suggests to me others were planned.
Yeah and apparently they got delayed because they were bringing other races as well like the Drell.
I suppose this was BW's way of neither including nor excluding any options for the future.
the most likely theory i suppose.
As long as the last arks get out before the assault on Earth begins you don't have to worry about a canonized ending as long as we lose all comms to the Milky Way due to accidents, relay blasts and sabotage. You could potentially have them observe the massive relay charge bursts from dark space and flip out about it.😮😢

'Cept you can't. That would eliminate two possible endings - one of which they specifically added to the extended cut. If you "lose", either way, the relays don't explode.

I had assumed that the control ending had a big burst as well, and you could have people justify the Reaper victory with them using overcharged relays to EMP bomb the galaxy to help assure the elimination of all technologically advanced lifeforms. I'm guessing that even without destroying the relays, in any version they would charge up an release massive amounts of energy that would look pretty terrifying and destructive to the arks in darkspace

I meant this ending: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EmcuF7UggkQ
There's also the possibility that you took a potshot at the Catalyst and lose. Either way, the cycle continues and the relays remain as they were. There's no reason to EMP bomb anything if they win. The relays and the Citadel are there for their control.... if the Crucible remains unactivated there's nothing for it to send out through mass effect relays.

Personally, I think Bioware should not canonize the endings of ME3 and should make very different alter ending and why the communication gone dark.
How do you they communicate between galaxies without a Massive time lag?
