DLC or rather ME: Andromeda 2?

LOL, I know it could be too soon... but still.. I was wondering what would majority of people would like better? A DLC to current game or rather the next Andromeda? Considering:

ME:1 2007.... ME:2 2010.... ME:3 2012.... ME:A  2017  looong time 🙂  I don't dare guess how long for ME:A 2 release

But now that all complaints were out, finally people starting to chill about it ... i would think Andromeda 2 would be a game to top the previous.

Soooo i'd vote for developing ME:A2 rather than a few hour DLC.

  • um....BOTH!!

The time frame between ME3 and MEA was for two main reasons....

    1)  Swap over to Frostbite engine.

    2)  World build a new game and galaxy to inhabit.

They have most of the new world basics built, and they have better understanding of Frostbite, so I could see a 3-4 year development for MEA2, and thus a few good DLC before hand to help tide us over.  And why 2-4 years, well anything less than 2 and you risk a really really rushed world and product, so I would rather see close to 4 on a new ME.  Look at the issues with DA2 if you want to see what a 2 year release does for you.

The benefactor, Quarian ark and the Geth would be perfect for DLCs. It was the Geth that explored Andromeda through their FTL telescope so it stands to reason they will have sent an "Ark" of their own.

The Jardaan and a final battle with the Kett there is our ME:A 2.

    Poker IS a cardgame. 🙂

Yeah, the Geth... they don't even need to breathe... so they could've landed on any planet and stay hidden given the situation in the Milky Way at the time the Arks left. Maybe the Geth would even learn how to deal with the Scourge (maybe the Scourge is ancient Reaper tech?) get more data on the Remtech?

The thing is, if Geth left before Shepard managed to make peace with them, then they could be hostile. Unless either Legion has a "clone" or the Benefactor plays a role into cutting a deal with the Geth that came to Andromeda. After all the Benefactor was "very" supportive in developing SAM, which has its roots in Project Overlord. idk

Or maybe Geth are capable of communicating with the ones left in the Milky Way (consensus lol), which, in that case would reveal what happened with the Reapers, and they would not be hostile.

The Kett could be in the middle of a huge war (could be with Reapers) in their own galaxy. This could be a reason they are in Andromeda to "Exalt" , their mission is to grab more genetic data and numbers and return. I guess anything is possible since the Reapers exist like forever?  They had time to explore the universe inside out and not necessarily return to dark space, but in fact harvest other systems.

i guess i could see the geth involved in there somewhere.

though not reapers. for a few reasons... here's just one, the reapers seem to be machines that are programmed to complete a specific task, and yes i know their not completely machines, more like cyborgs... however i feel my point still stands. as such, i doubt that exploring other galaxies is in their mandate. so, i also find that unlikely to change without outside interference.

Honestly, the Kett Empire feels like it is supposed to be the like the Roman Empire at its largest and Helios is like Hibernia. The question is is it still mighty and the legions will soon be marching our way, or is it starting to rot inside, ripe for barbarian assault?

I would love to see more offshoots and divisions within the Kett, it would leave interesting decisions for the Pathfinder.

I think it would be really interesting if someone developed technology that undid some of the mental changes to the newly exalted obedient Kett. So that even though they were still trapped in a Kett body they would fighting for the initiative, or perhaps banded together as outcasts. It would produce a lot of tension to the story as there will be a lot of racism towards any Kett, even if they are still technically Angara in mind.

OMG i Love that thought!!!! Yess, reverse engineering. AND who knows what other new races could be revealed from the process. Fabulous

I really suspect that the Kett will show up with multiple factions, I think some of the other DLC or next game threads have some ideas on this.

I do like the idea of having a group of Kett who have recovered enough of their memories to defect from the Kett and fight them but are considered enemies by the non-Kett. Exiles and Outcasts have already been used however, besides, they need a name with a proper Paradise Lost feel, maybe the Fallen? And, for fun, maybe they can have a ship or leader called "the (Flying) Dutchman"?
