[EA app/Steam] Multiple Titles Won't Launch!

I have been unable to laucnh either Mass Effect Andromeda, or Dragon Age Inquisition for literal years. I keep trying complete uninstal and re installs. I have the games through steam but have also done the trying through the ea laucher. The games that fail give no error codes or anything. They just simply do not open. Nothing ever happens.

Stranger still this issues hasn't seemed to have ever bothered my Battlefront 2 or Sims 4.

@Joangar_Wrathfal If the game does not launch in a clean boot or safe mode with networking, something is typically blocking that from launching. Here are the steps I would run through for something like this. We cannot go by nothing works or "I tried everything" as we always need details on what steps were performed that way we aren't wasting time with steps that do not work.

If they were purchased through Steam, we cannot make changes to the game as the purchase itself isn't linked to the EA app.

    • Put your device in a Clean Boot then launch the game
    • Try the Game in different Compatibility settings
    • Try Safe Mode with Networking
    • Try a new Windows Account
    • Change UAC Controls within Windows (change back once tested)
    • Add the games exe files into your firewall settings
    • Turn off any antivirus

Please create a DxDiag in text file format and post it with your next reply. You can do that with the "Choose file" button at the bottom right corner of the reply window.

    @Joangar_Wrathfal

There are no relevant entries for the games or the EA app in DxDiag.

Do you have Battlefront 2 or Sims 4 on Steam as well?

Please preform a clean boot and test the Game in clean boot mode.

    In clean boot:
    - Make sure the "EABackgroundService" remains enabled under point 3 in the guide.
    - Make sure your virus scanner and other security software and also Afterburner and similar software is disabled.
    - Make sure any CORSAIR/Asus software is disable or deinstalled and that your GPU & CPU are not overclocked.
    - Make sure only your Mouse and keyboard are connected to the PC.

@Joangar_Wrathfal When you follow the steps above, do you get any errors, or does the game completely shut down? In a clean boot, does this make any difference?

  • Absolutey nothing happens, and nothing changes.

Also doesnt matter if i open it from steam or the ea app.

Also again this issue has persisted for literal years, and through multiple entirely clean re installs
