End Game Save?

Just finished Mass Effect 1 and was curious about whether there is an end game save, this would be after the final battle and decisions were made.

This is on PS3, and I don't recall being prompted about saving after the credits rolled.

Is there some invisible save that's made for ME2? 😕mileyfrustrated:

  • Mass Effect 1 saves automatically after the Saren fight and before the decision about who should be coundilor. I'm not sure if this was changed in the PS3 version. It saves again after the end credits, but many people skipped the credits, which is why they ask you to choose the councilor again in ME2.

  • There is an invisible save for ME2. Its called you, and ME2 will ask you what you did at some point.

The same thing happened to me. I've fought Saren four times (luckily he's not difficult..) and I've watched the credits to make sure I'm not missing it from skipping them. It keeps taking me directly to the main menu after the credits roll, not giving an option to save and not placing Shepard back on the Normandy. I'm really not sure what to do about it.

No, it still has an autosave after Saren, but it doesn't work. I've fought Saren probably twelve times now. I watch the credits every time and immediately after it takes me to the loading screen - not the Normandy.

There have been suggestions made to the "Idea Exchange" running comment sequence (it's not a forum, as such) to either add clearly visible FLAG markers to Original Posts identifying the platforms, or else, perhaps separate out the platforms while any game sequel is still new, to make answering easier.  (Whoever converted the Xbox version to sort-of run on PS2 was asleep at the switch about the very end, it seems.)

To my knowledge, that problem never came up regarding the Xbox version.

Anyway, there are now many threads here on your subject.  Do a search to see what others are doing.  I play games strictly on PCs.  Occasionally, I feel a flicker of annoyance when I open a thread that is unflagged, and can't help the writer, because I don't have and won't get, any console.  Everyone on either side ( console / PC ) with any kind of opinion, should visit the Idea Exchange and add your opinion to one or the other of those suggestions.

    And your solution is?

  • Goraththeelder was not offering a solution.  He was making a recommendation that people flood the Suggestion Box with requests to create separate platform forums so that PS3 players (or Xbox, or PC ones) don't waste time with problems that don't apply to them, or for which they can offer no help.
