I agree. As if it isn't bad enough that some of the augmentation descriptions aren't very descriptive, some of these augmentations have drawbacks they don't mention.
The beam one might actually be one, because I don't recall it stating that the damage is reduced but you're saying it is. The heat sink cuts how many shots you can fire before having to stop in half but doesn't mention that either/
And the list goes on.
The augmentations were a nice concept, but as they are, poorly executed... in my opinion.
And there are also augmentations that are too good imo. After unlocking the extra augmentation slot through AVP and crafting the Heleus Armor with kinetic coils only, I feel like a god on insanity. Taking cover is so trivial
