This seems to be related to AMD graphics for some reason. I know the CMs here are aware of it, and I thank you for posting this up. Hopefully this can get resolved quickly, as the only way to avoid this is to NOT make the choice that causes it, more a RPG choice than story changing but still, needs to be fixed.

There have been a few reports of this happening on Nvidia hardware as well.
