"From Ashes" DLC Issue

Hey everyone.

Few days ago i bought ME3 Digital Deluxe Edition on Origin Client as you can see the picture below. Normally "From Ashes" dlc has to be included in this package. I finished the game first time and i tought i skipped something because i never received the quest which takes place on Eden Prime (To recruit Javik). Recently started playing for the second time and i still didn't receive the quest, so i checked my dlc's again and it doesn't even appear on my list on Origin???

So i contacted with EA Live Support about this issue. After spending 1.30 hour and trying to use different codes etc. they offered me to "refund" the game i like to play or post it here because obviously they don't have a solution and maybe someone here can help me with issue. Right now i'm downloading the whole game but it still doesn't appear on my list as you can see.

Does anyone had this issue before? Any solutions you can offer?

It's so frustrating, i've spent enough money to play this game as whole and i can't use one of the important dlc's at all and no one can be able to help me. Such dissappointment...

  • Well instead of having "From Ashes" you have two times the "Collector edition Materials".

Do you have a "DLC_HEN_PR" Folder in your DLC Folder?

Well that's the problem, "From Ashes" is normally the second last DLC in the list right before the Materials.

Do you Have "The final Hours of Mass Effect" installed?

Besides that, I would recommend that you try to reinstall Origin. Just the client, not the games.  Deinstall the client in windows, restart your system and install Origin again.

Then before you start Origin, relocate your DLC folder out of the ME3 folder. (If "From Ashes" is found you can copy the rest back so you don't have to download it again.

  • No, i dont have "The Final Hours" at all and did everything you wrote but nothing changed :/ Gosh what kind of issue is that?

A very strange one, that's for sure.

Did you try a repair installation or a new installation of the game?

How do the two "Materials" Folders behave. Are they both recognised as installed?

  • I did everything i could think of, i mean with second game they gave us opportunity to download dlc's seperately from games and origins itself. I was searching for a solution like that but obviously there is none :/ Pff what a shame.

And yes, both of them are linked to same folder and working well.

Did you reboot after the Client install? Did you locked out of Origin and back in.

One last tray would be to make sure that "DLC_HEN_PR" is not on your PC, ak in the wrong folder, at all.

You can download the DLC's separately, that's normally illegal, but you bought the game so... but its not completely without risk.

  • Did everything exactly like you said. Checked the folder 2 times and its not on my computer. I didnt wanna do any illegal stuff and hoped i can download the dlc from biowares original website but theres also no option like that, so it looks like its my only choice in this case :/ Since 2 days ea help is not returning too.

Thank you for everything anyway 🙂
