Game won't let me play

I've previously logged about ten hours on Mass Effect 3.

Then I stopped playing for about half a year while some life things took priority. Now, I went to play again, and its suddenly asking for my CD key. I went to enter it, and it tells me "this key is already bound to so-and-so account" ... which is the account I'm logged into that it's telling me to enter the CD key for.

WTF is going on?

  • No, it didn't.  You clicked on the "AHQ" link on that page.  The AHQ is for "player-to-player" technical self-help.

    We're all just fellow gamers, doin' the best we can.

    The EA Game Advisors are the only people who can help with CODE, ACCOUNT, or PURCHASE problems.

    You should make sure you get all the way to the page that gives you the "LIve Chat", "Telephone", or "Email" options to contact them.

    If you still need assistance, contact Customer Service/Game Advisors, here's how:

     

    1 Click on the following link: https://help.ea.com/contact-us
    2 Make sure you are logged in (top right corner)
    3 Click on the blue button "Contact a Game Advisor"
    4 Enter the name of your game or product (or "Origin" for account-related issues) and click "Find Solutions"
    5 Select the type of issue and the platform you play on, and click on "Find Solutions".
    6 Click on the blue button "I still need help" if the FAQ articles do not apply to your situation.
    7 Select a contact option. Note that you may get different contact options depending on your country.

    I think I must be an idiot because I get to the Telephone and Live Chat options but don't see the Email one. Going to relook. >__<

  • Not an idiot.  Which options you get depends on the time of day (is it business hours?) and your country/region.  Some have all three, some have only one or two.  I've noticed that the North American support site has stopped showing the "Email" option, (at least when I've checked) but I hear others (eastern Europe, Australia) see it.
