Help with Kett Cardinal boss fight on insanity

 

I started the game on insanity and i am on this stage and i simply cant beat this boss. The longest i survived was 20 minutes and i striped the health of boss to half. Btw i use infiltrator profile hybrid combat/tech. Powers i use are tactical cloak( no brainer ofc) and usually incinerate/overload combo but i tried also with droping turret down or using combat skills like mines, grenades etc. but they are useless in this fight and i picked those. Also i use * raptor sniper rifle and mattock rifle with Jaal and Drack as companions. Any tips please? My tolerancy and patience levesl are pretty high but slowly i am starting to loose it lol.

    Or he can just bring the orb's life down very low with sniper, reload then finish it off with the secondary weapon. Then switch back to sniper and unleash hell in her face. Pistol could work too but i think they have less damage and relatively slow rate of fire so i doubt you can get in 6-8 shots before the orb respawn but Talon and Carnifex having pretty good damage so they are an option as well. Shottys like Dhan do even higher damage making short work on her.
    Powers and ammo should be ready because as the previous person mentioned earlier you need a high burst in that short amount of time.

    I actually killed her when her shield dropped only one time, "maybe because I shot her in the face". On a serious note, I was using a black widow with turbocharge and I don't know how the damage output is of your guns but it shouldn't take too long as long as you shoot her in the head.

    I just killed yesterday him on Insanity with infilrator as well on lvl16. My build was almost the same, power wise - cloak,incinerate,shield drain. However i researched and developed the Black Widow as soon as i could afford it. Her orb respawned 2 times so that can give you some idea the fight lasted roughly 10 minutes or so. You should go for Black Widow or Vanquisher in the future. If you prefer single shot ones then Isharay. Viper aint that garbage but nothing compared to the others.

    Would depend a bit on your exact level, but rocket to the face helps....as well as a large burst damage weapon because you want the extra damage from cloaked attacks. Use widow, blackwidow, or ishray on the orb and then depending on reload times of main I may swap over to heavy pistol for 6 to 8 shots to face...as companions I like drack and vetra personally for infiltratetors.

    I think part of your issue is your gun, you don't get much damage bonus from cloak cause it breaks on first shot or 2 sec later, and then he is hunting you. Plus once his shield breaks you want to light his head up with huge damage fast, not little damage over time.

    Agreed with what everyone said, but also I'll add... debuff. Debuff, debuff, DEBUFF ALL THE THINGS!!! The more I play this game, the more i'm finding that Debuffing targets really helps bring down the health bar quickly; along with weapon mods and loadouts.

    Thx for explanation i know exactly what is my biggest problem stupid raptor sniper that is burst fire and low damage because of that and i burn ammo on it in a sec.

    personally I played the whole insanity with nohing but a valkyrie rifle it's super easy and pretty fast too even the kett krogan that most people seem to be afraid of went down super fast thanks to the bio converter ammo was never a issue oh and never try bio converter with the agaran sniper rifle .....

    I would disagree on not using the bio converter on the Isharay. SIngle shot rifles and heavy duty weapons with low clip size benefit the most of it. You need some life support to back it up but its worth it. Or you can add vintage heat sink to skip the reload animation so you can use powers while its cooling down.

    I agree on the Valkyrie though, that thing is an absolute monster. Not a big fan or burst weapons but that one got me. There are only a few AR's that are as good or better than it.
