How do you turn off Motion bluur?

Same as title. I really want to play Andromeda on High Quality or Ultra High Quality, but whenever I change the settings to High the Motion blur option gets automatically locked into on and won't let me turn it off. Is there anyway way I can fix this without needing to go into the game files and setting everything to zero?

    Hey @halloweenchild13

    Have you tried to use the custom overall quality in graphics settings? Setting the overall quality as high or ultra, unfortunately, will lock most of the options (including motion blur). However, with custom you can mirror all the settings from ultra and still being able to keep the motion blur off 🙂

    The solution you suggested certain worked, however, the main problem is that my computer is having trouble running the game on High and Ultra settings. Even though it runs Dragon Age Inquisition on Ultra just fine.

    Glad to know that custom settings work @halloweenchild13 🙂

    As for the game performance, even if both DAI and MEA had been made using the Frostbite engine, it usually comes down to little optimization tweaks to make the game work better on certain PCs 😳

    I suggest trying to lower some graphics settings like resolution scale mode. You can also turn off ambient occlusion. Don't be afraid to experiment, you can always bring the settings back to defaults 🙂

    I don't know how good your PC is, but with mid-range PCs I usually recommend such settings for better performance:

    • Texture Quality: High
    • Anti-Aliasing: Temporal AA
    • Ambient Occlusion: SSAO (or off)
    • Post-Process Quality: Low
    • Texture Filtering: Medium
    • Lighting Quality: Medium
    • Shadows Quality: Medium
    • Effects Quality: Medium
    • Mesh Quality: High
    • Shader Quality: Low
    • Terrain Quality: Low
    • Vegetation Quality: High

    As far as I know, my PC is a late 2014 early 2015 Alienware model (not sure what model exactly I'm not really a tech person :-/ ) I'll certainly try out the specs you suggested. Thanks 🙂

    The specs you suggested work pretty nicely, I kept a couple that you suggested for Low on Medium and the game runs a lot smoother now. Might need to update my hardware and Nvidia drivers and see if that helps run the game any better.
