I just lost Jack's loyalty to keep Amanda's

Greetings - my first play through as a newbie - before my questions   - how I try to play a game even a new one - I love free roaming a much as possible without too much video game help, so this game is slightly different and I get the feeling I should have maybe settled for following guidance say from Pete Complete as an example, when I got Jack my very first thought was "this ain't gonna work. she's got soo muck ink in her body and she could be a problem"  cut to her Loyalty mission when she ignored an order and shoot the oddball, my thoughts changed to "Aah!! a Diamond in the rough, worth looking after and polishing up" I had a fair amount of Paragon  points less renegade knew they counted towards the loyalty achievement for both Amanda and herself and assumed I had enough of one or the other, BUT along came crunch time and I only had the choice between the 2  ladies- forced into a corner I chose to save Amanda and NOT both as I originally thought i could - suggestion/help  on a replay from deleted saves or any legal way of replaying the mission if so how do I check the points I need before a replay if possible, if there is NO way to rectify it so be it, the game carries on.

I stopped playing Destiny 2 basically over game issues and in fairness to those that make video guidance tips finding a person who takes their time, does not do SPEED RUNS and imparts information sometimes out of that instances needs and more like general hints and tip for the game, I found Pete Complete just about fills MY requirements, since this is my very first playthrough any suggestions more than welcome.

Thanks Billl

First, I assume you mean Miranda instead of Amanda.

    Second,

    Spoiler
Jack did not followed the Order because you did not or, and I think that is what happened, cold not choose the Paragon answer in the dialogue.
If that is true it means you had too few Paragon to be able to choose the Paragon answer and this is, at the time you can play Jacks loyalty Mission, one of the more easy achievements in the game.

To keep both, Miranda and Jack loyal, you need a nearly fully filled Paragon OR Renegade bar.
The game lets you get away with many moral system choices if you did not fully embrace one side, paragon or renegade, but not with all.

Or in short, to keep them both loyal you need to decide on one moral path, you can't be good in situation a. and bad in situation b. (Or only in very few situations.) because you will not get the necessary paragon or renegade points you need.

Because you're on a PC you could use the "Trilogy Save Editor" found on the NEXUS to gave you the amount of paragon or renegade points you need.

For game advise, there is the Mass Ef fect Fandom WIKI, which holds a enormous quantity of knowledge about the games.
There are also, besides the YouTuber you mentioned, many many other YouTuber that streamed full playthroughs of the games.

  • Greetings and Thanks

While in my style of gameplay (I like to free roam, look into caves etc and generally "do it my way" and in no specific order referring to paragon points as an example and yes I understand the need to chat to strangers for these points and side missions etc and do, BUT compared to say Pete Complete I could be way off the rails making any course adjustment late in the game impossible to rectify, so I  should have taken more time to chat to the dancers in the clubs and everybody with the square attached instead of only a select few.

My thoughts off the cuff - I am in a learning curve based on decisions I make as I play, so outcomes will be player unknown and like my event unexpected - boo hoo but I still have Jack...atleast for ME2.

Many thanks, might look at the editor mod you mentioned but since I'm not really wanting to be replaying too much just to maintain points or go for the highest scores or achievements at this my first playthrough.

Miranda vs Amanda - I cant even blame a typo for that thank goodness it did not pose a problem for you

Well, let me say so much

    Spoiler
having a squamate not loyal is very dangerous, for that squamate in end game.

The two most important people to chat with are Jakob, who will tell you if your squad is ready, and Joker, who will tell you if the Ship is ready.

    Spoiler
If one or both are not completely ready you will most probably loose people in the end game.
