There, I said it.
I know you(Bioware) want me to pick Reyes, and made her one of the few killable characters in the game, but she's straight with me and the world, has a beautifully complicated backstory, and both the game and her will allow me to meet her snark for snark.

This is likely due to her not believing they are outshining her. But more importantly, in the context I am using it, it only would apply to allies and or those in her employ. Her being hands off only supports the idea that she believes she is above all and thus doesn't need to get her hands dirty. She does give me the impression based on what she does in the game as well as how she talks, that should you seem to outshine her or be an authority on Kadara, she will betray you/the Initiative... not to mention she already betrayed the Initiative once.

Similar, except Evfra does show more respect and decency towards you. He even empathizes with you from the beginning.

The fake coughing was too distracting for me to understand what you were trying to say in regards to this but yes, she has a problem with authority and prefers to instead be a ruler. She literally has a throne, has a history of defying authority, and has already turned on the Initiative once.
There is much to suggest that the real reason she left Nexus wasn't because she cared about people but she saw it as a means to become the ruler of another group. Almost a "better to rule in Hell than serve in Heaven" kind of mentality.
So based on the above as well as other things stated, not just by me, I am of the opinion that she is more likely to betray you than someone with Reyes' personality type. I am not saying I am right nor am I saying that it is illogical to believe otherwise. I am just pointing out logical reasons to be of a different mindset.

Then how does her coming to the final battle fit in? She wasn't asked to - actually has a snarky remark about it. She also hangs around on the Hyperion to talk to you afterward.
iirc, the collective had tan uniforms with red paint, the outcast mainly had red, while the generic exiles had sort of bluish... or did i get that last bit backwards?
i'd basically just be rehashing what Kondaru said with my own tilt added. and i might add something along the lines of: it seems to me that you either are so ingrained with your own opinions of sloane that you can't or will not accept anyone else's, the same seems to be true with your opinion of reyes. and i also admit i could be inflicted by the same condition on my end, however, i at least try to see things from every perspective available too me, and it seems like you may be unwilling to do the same. though if that is not the case i have no issues recanting.

That is a great question. My answer would be that it benefits her to have the Kett beaten and being involved in such a massive victory further cements her power on Kadara. If I remember correctly, she lied about how thoroughly she had defeated the Kett on Kadara.
She does this, as I mentioned before, because she wants to create a since of being untouchable. It's similar to those who once called themselves God-Kings in my opinion.
In short, it benefited her to be there.

and if you're wondering, that's about as personal i get when chatting. i don't find that aggressive, and as far as i can tell, i think i'm being respectful, but as i didn't really have anything to add over what kondaru figured it's best not to risk it. as some people have lower thresholds for such dialogue exchanges.

Everybody keeps saying that, I'll have to go back and replay it.
What *I* remember is her saying she's driven them from Kadara, which she has, and pretty much/wiped them off the planet, which she did. I'm not seeing a single pocket of Kett to be pointless boasting and lie. I also thought she was moving troops when we first met because she thought the Kett were being far too quiet. I don't remember her ever telling me that the Kett were completely defeated anywhere - but I do remember us both being snarky about clearing out the cave, me calling her on it and her being straight about how she was going to present it (or not).
