If it were just for my sake then, no, it wouldn’t really matter much, but I do like to go back and review challenging trophy moments and see the screen shots or clips when they pop. I am also a moderator for a Twitch following on Discord. We have a museum section to show everyone our achievements and I was excited to show everyone my completion of the Trilogy on Insanity. We all like to challenge ourselves.
I’m not saying nobody should use a cheese method to work around the glitches if they choose to do so especially if they beat the games legit and just want the achievements to be done. I’m simply speaking for people that don’t want to use that method for whatever personal reasons. Because when others respond saying to simply redo the Saren fight, it isn’t exactly helpful to me.
I get that in the past, people would never know anyway, but that’s the thing. We have more advanced technology now and we can show friends our accomplishments. It could be argued it’s just a game and who cares, but I feel we could make that argument about anything, it’s subjective. Even from the PS4 to the PS5 is a cool jump. PS4 used to only take a screen shot when a trophy popped. Now PS5 takes a screen recording of trophies so it’s fun to look at a clip of what you were doing when you got a certain trophy.
- @SeraphicSaint I totally understand and hope they get this fixed soon!!

Hello, I am working on my insanity run and after completing the one in ME1 I am now in the ME2 portion, recruited Thane and now working to get Samara to join so you can tell I am worried in this front.
For the Paramour in ME2 ai would recommend making a save before the one you'll romance and then do. After doing so reload the last save, do so if you plan to not cheat on your ME1 partner. I am gonna see if this works in the remaster as it did on the 360.

I keep reading about these cheese tricks to make the achievements/trophies...
Just to clarify, there is nothing "cheese" about this alternative metodes to get the achievements.
They achievements only get triggered this way if you actually played the games on insanity, so what it does is triggering the flag that should have been set in the first place but was not set because of the bug.
Not saying you should do it this way, that's entirely your decision, but as said, nothing cheese about that.
Well in that case, I apologize for misunderstanding and I apologize if anything I said came off as rude or elitist. That’s not my intention. I don’t personally have an issue with anyone cheesing anything anyway. The reason I called it a cheese was because upon not receiving Insanity III, I was searching for help. I immediately came across a group of players claiming to cheese the Insanity achievements by keeping it on the easiest difficulty until the end when Saren is one shot, then switching to Insanity and apparently it would award the Insanity achievement. They also stated you could replay it two more times to trigger Insanity II and Insanity III without even needing to play the other games. This is the reason why I referred to it as the cheese method. I did read that it was patched and apparently exclusive to Xbox, but that’s what caused my confusion over the advice from others that I was reading to fix my issue.
NP, just wanted to make sure the players that suggest this don't feel like they cheated in some way.
I hope Bioware fixes the rest of the achievement problems as well.
@SeraphicSaintJust FYI, they patched the cheese before they patched the actual achievements. I know this because when Insanity/Paramour II didn't pop when I finished ME2, I googled it, found out about the bug, found out about the cheese, and decided to try the cheese to get the achievement I'd rightfully earned, but the cheese did not work. Then I checked a discussion on the patch (the June 7th patch I think) and someone commented that they'd patched the cheese but not the achievement, making it impossible to get the achievement at all. If your achievements pop by replaying ME1, it's not because you've "cheesed" it, it's because the progress wasn't tracking properly against the Insanity II/III and Paramour II/III achievements before the June 28th patch.

Just passed ME2 LE on Insanity and so far both the first and second Insanity trophies have unlocked, I am however missing the Insanity 3 (ME3 LE on insanity to go) and the Paramour III (ME 1 and 3 Paramours unlocked with no cheating) which didn't unlock as the screen went black after I talked to Talk in engineering and she agreed to romance Shepard, I can still invite her to the cabin and all of this is post Suicide Mission (it could unlock in the original game) but I fear after I got frustrated I deleted save as my last save was on the Reapers IFF prior to her and Legion loyalty missions plus the Collectors Base. I'll either start a new playthought and romance her just to delete or I'll wait and hope a new patch (if any) helps.
I just completed Mass Effect 2 on Insanity after completing ME 1 on Insanity and the "Insanity II" achievement has not unlocked. I started my ME 2 playthrough on May 31 so I'm not sure if an update messed with my save file.
Paramore III achievement still bugged... Quite frustrating since it's the only one I'm missing and I can't make it to work.
EDIT : Apparently after the fix, you can have paramoure II achievement because of the fix but the game still doesn't track you had a ME2 romance prior to the fix, and paramoure III doesn't works. It may also be because you romanced someone who doesn't count in ME2 (aka kelly, samara etc...).
In this case you need to replay a ME2 romance and paramoure III will unlock.
