Is Nvidia GT640M-LE capable of running the game at 1920*1080?

Title.

  • It should, but you might want to check the demo beforehand if the frame-rates are smooth enough.

  • I once tried to run Mass Effect 2 at similarly perfoming hardware (Geforce 9600 GT) and 1920x1080 wasn't ideal. Framerates would sometimes drop below 30 and would rarely go over 50. I then dropped to 1600x900, which ran fine. I have upgraded since.

Edit: After doing some research, it has come to my attention that the 640M LE performs 20% worse than the regular 640M. I'm not sure if that makes it faster or slower than the desktop version of the 9600 GT which I used. I think it's safest to try the demo first, but if you have framerate standards, you likely won't be satisfied.

According to this the 640M-LE should run ME3 a bit below 30fps (depending on the rest of your system). While this will be too slow for some, it might be OK for you, you'd just have to test it in the demo if you can live with it. Or, as fredvdp suggested, lower the resolution to 1600x900 which should be totally fine with your GPU.
