There's a fix incoming for Mass Effect 1, right? I seriously didn't think that I was taking for granted the fact that aiming of all things would be broken in a game that got a rerelease in 2021. This is exactly the kind of thing that's supposed to be fixed with a rerelease.
I'm not holding my breath that EA actually cares about this. You already got my money for creating a texture pack, congrats.
Highly unlikely.
There's so many bad design decisions, oversights, and some awful bugs, on the PC release, it's clear it wasn't thoroughly tested and that management don't care much for it. Many of the issues that plagued the original games are still present. If they couldn't be bothered to fix those issues prior to release, I'd be extremely surprised if they cared to fix them now.
ME2 has forced mouse acceleration, as well btw, like the original game had.
Modders will be the only ones to actually fix these issues.
