When I pull out my scanner on Kadara, the ambient scanning sounds are gone. SAM is still functional and still beeps when there are objects nearby which can be scanned, but the actual scanner emits no noise when I open or close it, as well as when it's just open. This issue occurs every time I travel to Kadara, but it does 'fix' itself when I leave the planet. So far no other planets have this bug from my experience.

I'v had this problem too, i happend on Kadara when i tried scanning at the hackers hideout and eventually got caught. I reloaded the game and now i don't hear any sound effects other than when i acually scan something and it happends everywhere not just when im on Kadara. EDIT: Okay for some reason it can hear the sound effects again after i went to Nexus and did some quests and bought some things and then i went back to Kadara and its gliched again, i went back to nexus... again and its back to normal. I'm not using the hoodie so it's not that. I get this issue in more areas now and I can't figure out what it is. Nexus, kadara, and now eos.

Yup, you're right. I could reproduce no scanner sounds on the nexus wearing the hoodie and not. But now I have the same bug on Kadara even outside the port hub. ☹️

Same here. Was starting to think i'd imagined it ever making a sound. I will add that i've just repaired my installation through Origin and that didn't fix it either. Still no sound on Kadara. I haven't been off Kadara since it opened up for me, so i can't say that it will be fixed when i move on, but i imagine it will considering it does for the OP. But i can confirm that it only started when i went to Kadara

Same here.

I will add that i've just repaired my installation through Origin and that didn't fix it either. Still no sound on Kadara.

I haven't been off Kadara since it opened up for me, so i can't say that it will be fixed when i move on, but i imagine it will considering it does for the OP. But i can confirm that it only started when i went to Kadara

Exact same issue here.

Was working for a while on Kadala, then stopped. No idea why.

i have the same problem on kadara and nexus.

edit: digital deluxe edition - PC

edit: realtek high definition - v 6.0.1.7824. i have the problem with speakers and usb-headphones.

Is this ever going to be fixed? I haven't been to kadara yet (just got back to nexus after finishing eos vault). I too have the same issue as OP and others with the scanner. There ar3 so many bugs that need to be fixed.

Do you guys per chance use the Hoodie casual outfit? It has no scanner sounds outside the Tempest.
