Hi i think i have a fix.. try this
right click the speaker next to the clock and chose playing devices
chose your spaeker and press properties
Under the fan "Advanced"
change your standard to dvd quality
deselect that you alow programs to take exclusive command
Other thing i did was change my speakers to headphone
But i have solved it... played 5 hours no bug
I'll test the dvd quality bit, ive already got the exclusive bit unticked. Will test over today and the weekend.

Tested the setting 16 bit, 48000Hz (DVD Quality) with the box unticked for exclusive mode for 'allow applications to take exclusive control of this device'
Test results were as follows:
A good number of normal games with sound were played which is quite normal, then at around 8.04pm this evening the sound disappeared just like before.
So for me at least, this test was a fail.

what about Switching from speaker to headphone... or the other way around.. i switched from surround to headphone. I Plugged the headphone in instead off my speakers and pulled all other out.. i also used a new power cable that had a ground in it. and installed the dolby atmos physical sound.
can't think of anything else.
Hobe this helps some- Anonymous8 years ago
I've pretty much done all that except for the dolby atmos which i'm loathed to have to install for 1 game out of all games that refuses to play without sound issues., i've tried 2 different headset connection types. USB and 3.5mm jack
My power cable is already grounded and my pc is new as of last november, so no operational issues to speak of.

Did you tested with 44100Hz?
- Anonymous8 years ago
Probably not yet. I will though
EDIT: 44100 is cd quality. This would be a desparate move to drop my audio quality this much for a game. I'd rather stop playing if i was forced down this route for a fix.
