Forum Discussion
added summary of patch notes including specifying any elements where sound was adjusted as part of patch.
As there is a 100% lack of any official response on this thread from EA or Bioware, i've been advised by another forum user that this was discussed briefly on a recent twitch multiplayer livestream (last week).
Billy Buskell (Bioware producer) said the following during the steam. (i've transcribed it from audio to text just for everyone to be able to read.)
"And one of the other ones that comes up a few times to is anything with the audio. Errr this is something that we are aware of it's actually a little bit deeper than we able to look into ourselves. So we've been reaching out to some folks at the Frostbite dev team level. So, again can't go into a ton of detail but it's actually unfortunately not unique to mass effect its just we know that there are ways that it manifests in our games. So nothing to announce right now other than yes we are looking into it, it's something that we're aware of but nothing to update on beyond that."

Its the way peer to peer works.
You fire some weapon
Event triggers play sound from Host to all other players.
If one player doesnt play sound then error .goes back to Host then to other players.
Or something like that.
Its not down to the engine or the game its down to other players and their systems. Different matter on Client Server games but i wouldnt pay £15 a month for this level of gameplay.
Devs are not going to come on this forums to read comments. Thats a well know fact.,- Anonymous8 years ago
Well its gone over to frostbite devs now so lets see.
It is incredibly frustrating the frequency this problem occurs, if it was just now and again fine.. but not like this.

So let me add my 2 cents of annoyance of this goddamn bug as well among the slew of other bugs that multiplayer has.

The devs who create the patches. Plus as @Skauron rightly stated the problem is now worked on by the Frostbite team at DICE.
As for the "canned" part, right now all we have are rumours. That major parts of the dev team took different tasks after the release is completely normal, the same happen after ME3 was finished, you don't need so many people for DLCs and patches.

1 Month 23 days and 17 hours with no 'anything to announce, details about feedback from Frosbite Dev Team or other'

Who is up for betting that people will max all their rares and ultrarares before we see this fixed? 🙂
