Mass Effect - A Look At Your Choices

Hot off the Twitter feed we have a look at the choices everyone's made throughout the Legendary Edition!

Anyone find any of the stats particularly surprising? As tempting as it always is to unleash the haymaker on Miss Al-Jilani, I usually find it a lot more satisfying to navigate through that conversation and leave her seeming like, in the words of the venerable Admiral Hackett, "a raving idiot."

Those Priority: Rannoch stats did get a slight eyebrow raise from me as well, honestly. 🤔

  • @EA_MakoIts interesting that they arent showing the choices at the end of each game (particulary 3 with the amount of players who achieved peace between the Geth and Quarians).
    My choices per game:

    -ME1: soldier male Shepard with a colonist and War Hero background, got Wrex his armor, helped Tali Pilgrimage, eliminated Dr. Heart, released the Rachni Queen, saved the colony of Feros, didn't killed Wrex, sent Williams to assault Saren base (so she could learn to work with a different command structure), let Kaidan guarding the bomb and saved Kirrahe, romanced Williams and saved the Council. Never punched the reporter in either game, also did all sidequest in ME1 with letting Balak go.

    -ME2: recruited all characters, did all loyalties (let Kasumi keep the greybox and Zaeed saved the refinery although my Shepard had to save him and convice him to get his loyalty, Garrus killed Sidonis but Sidonis was ok with it, let the cure data be kept by Mordin, killed the Thresher Maw, cleared Tali without using the evidence me and Legion found, destroyed the Heretics, killed Morinth, let Miri talk to her sister and not kill Niket, Jack spared Areash and Jacob or the hunters didn't kill his dad), destroyed Collectors Base, didn't cheat on Ash but had a friendly dinner with Kelly and she offered to care for the fishes, helped Liara multiple times culminating with the Shadow Broker takedown, sent David to the Alliance, did Arrival, did Normandy Crash Site, did Firewalker, did all N7 missions.

    -ME3: recruited Javik, cured the Genophage, recruited the Rachni Queen, didn't shoot Ash, shot Udina, saved the students at Grissom Academy, conforted Kalina, made peace between the Geth and Quarians, sent a team member to help Capt Ridley, did Leviathan, did Omega and Aria spared the General but enjoyed threatening him (shut down the reactor without Renegade interrupts), did Citadel DLC (videos soon in the discussion post), War Assets over 8k, Thane saved the Salarian Council member, Batarians under Balak recruited, romanced Williams and took her to Cerberus HQ (again, videos soon) and chose Destroy (I picture myself a Lazarus 2.0 for Shepard and the Ex Cerberus personnel along with Kahlee Sanders are involved in it after the Rachni Queen and Wrex find him despite the Alliance brass protests to Hackett) ending because the Geth can be rebuilt with thw knowledge gained of the trust both the Quarians and the Geth were starting to gain from each other, I suspect that if EDI survived Shepard attack on Luna after she went rampant some of her logic must have also survived and could be rebuilt into something similar to SAM in Andromeda after a few years (like 3-5), Williams and Liara ran up to the beam behind Shepard and were evacuated.

    I'm the same way. The way I play Shepard it feels more in-character to politely prove her wrong, and it's more satisfying to me to have the "we haven't always seen eye to eye, but I'm glad you're on our side" interaction in ME3.

    Other than that I guess I'm surprised at how high Sole Survivor is as a background, I've never found it to be a particularly good origin story for Shepard's fame. I imagine that like the Soldier class it gets a bit of a boost for being the default choice.

    @draconiam I forgot to add that no one but Lilith died on my sessions of the Suicide Mission in ME2.

    @dragonofnrvnqsr

    I may or may not save before that choice every time I get to it just to get my fill before moving on. It's one of the few save-scum points I allow myself. 👿

    @DocTheGamer

    Absolutely agreed. Being able to outmaneuver someone in their own arena feels a lot more rewarding to me, and having that ME3 interaction gives her a neat little arc of her own.

    @EA_Mako Such a shame we only heard of Emily Wong death by a tweet OUTSIDE ME3, it is still one of the things that infurated me about the game not that she dies, but that she dies offscreen and that apperantly a Reaper tracks her when she is using a written QEC device when we know nothing can track them.
  • Such a shame I can't finish Mass Effect 3 as an infiltrator with keyboard and mouse. That being said these stats are always fun.
