Mass Effect - Feros; Severing the Ship Claw

I went through 10 pages and saw nothing on this subject or anything relating to it. Forgive me if it was a question that had been asked some time prior.

PC version. Downloaded Trilogy from Origin.

Nature of problem: On the Mission Assignment in Chapter 4 on Feros, when you need to activate the PSI valves in order to Sever the Ship Claw, then utilize the central panel again to shut the door in order to sever the claw; it does not “highlight” the control panel again so you are able to until the pressure is back to normal. You are not able to sever the claw.

I have tried every possible sequence to bring up the pressure to the danger level in order to do so, spending quite a bit of time to do so as well, and the only thing that happens when I go to access the control panel is that I wind up speaking to one of my teammates. With not being able to shear the claw, I cannot continue on in the game. This is extremely frustrating.

After watching numerous YouTube videos and seeing that I apparently am the only one with this particular problem, obviously, I am quite upset. Before I invest any more money in downloadable content, I want to make sure that the content I have already bought works. I’m sure that you can understand where I am coming from.

Any ideas on what’s going on?

    Solution is: 17 + 11 + 5 = 33

    33 falls between the upper "Normal", and the lower "Emergency Shut-Down"  thresholds, and will sever the claw.

    It would be easier if I could see what you're doing but here's what I *think* is the matter.

    1.  Load a save from before you enter the room where the Claw and Control Panels are.

    2.  Clear out the Geth in the room

    3.  Leave your team at the door way that you entered from

    4.  Set your Shepard so that Shepard is facing the Control Panel

    5.  Press 'E' on your keyboard (or whatever button you set "Interact" to in the Settings Menu) to interact with the Control Panel and read what it says.

    6.  Turn your Shepard to the left.  There should be 5 buttons to the LEFT of the Control Panel - All RED - that allows you to interact with it.

    7.  Move your mouse to hover over each of the 5 buttons and glance up at the top-middle of your monitor.  This lets you know what the PSI levels are.

    8.  As the above poster says, Solution is: 17 PSI, 11 PSI,  5 PSI.  Make sure ALL THREE buttons turn green.

    9.  Press 'E' to interact with the Control Panel.

    This should activate a cutscene that allows you to proceed with quest.
