Mass effect 1, 20 fps

I played mass effect 1 without problems a week ago, but i took a break and now im down to 20fps on a 2080ti... I've done no changes to my computer since last week.

@Zealot_Xereth  It might help if you plug your monitor directly into your graphics card rather than into the motherboard.  I don't know whether it'll solve the fps issue, but you should definitely see better performance overall.

Is that on specific locations or in the entire game?

Did you tried to repair the game?

(Origin > Game Library > right click MELE > Repair)
(Steam > Game Library > right click at MELE > Properties > Local Files > Verify integrity of game files.)

    Also:

    • Make sure Origin/EA Desktop and Steam are closed
    • Go to your ">drive<:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Mass Effect Legendary Edition\Game\ME1\BioGame" folder.
    • Move the "Config" folder to your Desktop.
    • Test.
  • Repair found 4 errors, but otherwise did nothing unfortunatly.

Moving my config to my desktop simply reset my graphic settings and it launched at 1024x768 which makes me believe it tries using my built in graphics card instead of my 2080ti
