Mass Effect 1 Inventory Says its full but when I check it it does NOT have 150 items

I have played through this game twice - the first time I did not have this problem, but now I do. My inventory has constantly been saying it is "close" to 150, but I check it and I have the exact mi...

When you go to a "store" in the game does anything besides equipped items show up? I've never heard of this bug, but that may be one way to check to see if you accidently missed checking an inventory subsection. It's been a while since I've played, but can you check inventory in slots your squadmates can't use? For instance, if no one in your party is tech, would youstill be able to look at the omnitools section?
