in mass effect 1 (ps4) i went around doing stuff to earn creds to buy the mark VIII spectre weapons, but once i saved up around 2 million i went to the c-cec store to find they all disappeared and i cant find them either there or the store on the normandy.

Having played the original Mass Effect, I was looking forward to purchasing the Spectre Gear (available from the CSec Req Officer). The first time I went to the vendor, I did actually see them but I obviously didn't have the credits to get them. When I revisited it later I noticed they had stopped showing up. I have since then passed 1 mil credits, still don't have It showing up in stores for me.(I'm also at a point in the game where level VII gear is dropping normally, so I'm guessing it's a glitch).Maybe it has to do with the fact that it's tied to an achievement that is no longer associated with the game? Either way I really hope this gets fixed because it may not be impacting my normal difficulty playthrough that much, I DEFINITELY want those weapons if I decide to do a higher difficulty playthrough.

I can confirm that this bug exists.There is a workaround, but it's dependent on you having a hard save earlier in the game before you become a Spectre. This is for PC. Not sure about consoles.The workaround is as follows:- Hard save your game.- Load up the earlier save.- Sit through Shepard's Spectre initiation speech in the Citadel Tower.- Visit C-Sec requisition officer in the C-Sec section of the Wards.- Ensure the Spectre gear is in his inventory.- Load up your current save.- Spectre gear should now be available for purchase from the guy on the Normandy, and the C-Sec guy in the Citadel.Note: In the original game, it was required to have 1000,000 credits on your first playthrough before Spectre gear became available. I've no idea if this is still the case with the Legendary Edition. If you follow the steps above, and still can't see the gear for sale, it's possibly due to you having less than 1000,000 credits.

The workaround on reddit worked for me, thanks for posting that.I wish they would also do something about Shepard's lack of stamina when running with weapons holstered. I'm not sure how a super fit soldier can't manage to sprint for more than 3 seconds 😃

I get this bug too on PS4.For Spectre Master gear VII, this should appear in C-Sec acquisitions after becoming a Spectre. But playing through the game, it never appears even when I reach 1,000,000 credits which was the old requirement in the original games. The Master Gear X, should appear after Virmire. Again this does not happen.SO THERE IS A BUG HERE that developers need to fix.However, as a TEMPORARY WORKAROUND, you can make make the Master gear appear by doing the following:1. Load up a save game just before you become a Spectre. OR, if you did not keep a save game before becoming Spectre then start a new game with a new character and play the game until you become a Spectre.2. Save the game (unlikely to be needed but just in case)3. As soon as you are a Spectre, head straight to the C Sec Acquisitions. The store will refresh and you will see the master gear in stock4. If you don't see it, load the previous save and try again until you see the master gear in stock.5. Now load your main game current save. I’ve also reported this to an EA agent. They said they’d be looking into this. I also had to show them that this is a bug and not just a problem with my account/console 🙃

For some reason your comment has only made me realise that the issue is with characters leaving the citadel and the spectre weapons 😂

@CuriousValkyrie I 've found them available at CSEC requisitions officer but only after Virmire. But in the original, there was a lesser version of those same weapons at the early stages of the game

@0icg That's my experience as well. The weapons showed up for me after Virmire. I checked it right before the endgame to see if I was lucky enough to upgrade my assault rifle to the Specter level 10, and it was there. I had over 10M so I just bought them all.

It's definitely a bug. Unless you use the exploit, the only time you can buy them are before the endgame.

Same bug here. Pretty sure I saw this issue in original ME1 and I find that long-standing bugs like this not being addressed in the Remaster along with visual improvements extremely disingenuous on the part of everyone involved with the Legendary edition ☹️

That fix will work, but only on that one visit. If you leave or save/reload, they will be gone again.

Hopefully, we get a fast quick Hotfix for this? I assume the Remaster release means there are sufficient people on the dev team tasked with addressing bugs in this new release?

Same problem here, play on PC. Had them earlier when I couldn't afford to buy them, then around the time I saved up 1mil credits, they weren't there and haven't been there since, on either merchant (ship and C-Sec). I am not certain exactly when they disappeared, to be fair. However, I do remember you used to have to have the Rich Achievement, which is gone now, to buy Spectre Master Gear and I suspect there is some wiring there that needs to be remedied now that the Rich Achievement is removed.

Can confirm, for myself they became available for purchase after Virmire mission. Bought 2x level 10 versions as i'd almost finished the game on both the citadel and on the normandy.
