privatepyle's solution worked beautifully for me.
Background: I bought the ME Trilogy from Origin some time ago and later upgrade ME2 with the Digital Deluxe edition. I recently upgraded my hardware and reinstalled everything. When i tried to play my ME2 digital deluxe edition i received the error 'Invalid License Reason Code = Invalid Cipher (0x0006)'.
I combed through the forums; Uninstalled and reinstalled, repaired game, deleted licenses. None of it worked. When i came to privatepyle's suggestion, i decided to try it since his problem was similar to my issue (somewhat reversed). I followed privatepyle's suggestion to the letter and the game ran without a hitch.
just a note; you have to repair your first copy of the game. When i first deleted the license, I made the mistake of repairing my digital deluxe copy and received the same error. It seems that Origin uses and updates your original copy. So once you've deleted your license remember to repair your Original/First copy. Cheers!
