Mass Effect 2 Invalid License Reason Code = Invalid Cipher (0x0006)

Hi, I'm posting this here because my ticket on EA Support was deleted for no apparent reason. I had an issue before where my product key on Mass Effect 2 on Origin was not being accepted by social....

Origin wanted me to update ME2 this morning. I did; big mistake. It broke my license code. Thanks so much, Origin. (Why the hell are you updating a game that's this old, anyway?)

Does your Origin account have multiple copies of ME2? That's what happened on my end. Check my solution and see if it helps you.
