Mass Effect 2 Invalid License Reason Code = Invalid Cipher (0x0006)

I randomly started having this problem after playing the game for about 5 hours.

Here's what worked for me:

-Open Origin

-In the menu, choose Origin > Application Settings

-In the General tab, scroll all the way to the bottom and check "Update to the Beta Version when available"

-Open the Origin menu again and select "Reload My Games"

-After choosing this option, it started downloading a patch for Mass Effect 2 and asked me to apply the update

-After applying the update, the game started with no problem.
