Mass Effect 2 Legendary DLC not loading

I just started my playthrough of Mass Effect 2, and I noticed that the armor and weapons DLC were not loaded.  I couldn’t access them at all.  I’m just wondering if:

A: This has happened to anyone else, and how did you resolve it?

B: Is there a way to resolve this without re-installing the entire game?  Which I’m not opposed to doing.

I’m playing on a Series X if it helps at all.

    I haven't reached ME2 yet, but they have said as much in here:

    • Integrated weapons and armor DLC packs
      • Weapons and armor DLC packs are now integrated naturally into the game; they’re obtainable via research or by purchasing them from merchants as you progress through the game, rather than being immediately unlocked from the start. This ensures overall balance and progression across ME2 and ME3
      • Recon Hood (ME2) and Cerberus Ajax Armor (ME3) are available at the start of each game

    They've said that DLC items have been integrated into the game, so you will be finding them in stores or as Research projects. They won't be dumped on your inventory at the start.

    Is that how it worked for you?  You found the weapons from the Firepower pack and the Inferno Armor/others in research and stores?

    I’m just curious because I got access to the Arc Projector as soon as I got the Normandy, but the Mattock, Phalanx, etc weren’t available like in the original

    @Blizard808 

    They are integrated into the game. For example, I just picked up the kestrel armor on Illium. Inferno armor shows up in prototype research, but I don't remember when - very early.
