Mass effect 2 legendary edition won't start (ps4(

I recently bought and downloaded mass effect legendary edition but I ran into an issue. I played through and finished mass effect 1 but when I boot up ME 2 from the launcher it just loads infinitely. This issue doesn't exist for mass effect 3.

I then deleted the game and re-downloaded it but the problem is still persisting. What could be the problem? I'm the ps4, please help

This might be the best option.

That this is a game problem is unlikely, so resting the PS after backing up all you game saves might work.

@SirTonsalot72 @EA_Mako this looks interesting, it seems to be only for the ME2 portion of the launcher.

Hey @SirTonsalot72,

From my understanding the PS4 version should download in its entirety so as you've been able to launch ME1 and ME3 successfully it should be fully installed. Just to be sure, do you still have a good deal of free space on your PS4 hard drive, or is this installation cutting it close? Any space you're able to free up if that's the case?

Aside from that there are a couple steps that can help out in similar situations. I'd try heading over to Settings > Account Management > Restore Licenses first to see if that changes things for you.

If not, it may be worth going through these steps on Sony's website to boot your PS4 into safe mode and rebuild the database.

Hey thanks for the response @draconiam and @EA_Mako
I have about 50GB free and just as suggested I restored my licenses and rebuilt my database. Sadly the issue is still persisting.

I know there is a way to PM the technical support staff and if they can't find the solution they will contact Bioware just, be ready to wait unless another player finds the solution for your issue.

Thanks for giving that a shot @SirTonsalot72.

While not an ideal solution especially for the purposes of importing your save, can you try creating a new profile on your PS4 and see if you're able to launch ME2 from there?
