mass effect 2 shaman bug xbox360

There could be some reasons for this bug. First of all, do you have Wrex accompany you? Since it's his loyalty mission, you have to have him with you. It could also be a common bug where you have to rewind a bit and try it again. I've never had this problem myself, and I can't seem to find many others with this problem. Hope this helpes!

I've triggered this twice in the various playthroughs I've done over the years. I don't recall how I fixed it the first time (more than likely I used an older save since I do so constantly). I can't say with 100% assurance how it is triggered but what I did was complete all the mini-tasks in Tuchunka before talking to Wrex: talked to all available NPCs, did pyjak mini-game, feed the varren, bought all available merchandise from both stores, sucker punched the pyjak, ec. I did NOT do Mordin's quest yet. When i spoke to Wrex there was a skip in the cutscene where Wrex welcomed Grunt to Clan Urdot. That's how you know the game is about to break (or rather IS broken) when you attempt to talk to the shaman. Doing Mordin's quest doesn't fix the problem.

Fix: I switched out squadmates, went upstairs to the Shaman, and did a hard save. I loaded up an older save (when I first arrived to Tuchunka by shuttle) then reloaded the newest save again (where I switched out the squadmates). This triggered the cutscene for the shaman to speak. I went back to the shuttle, grabbed Grunt and a squadmate (this case Mordin again), then continued the quest as normal. You may be ale to fix it by simply loading up an older save then reloading the newest one (without having to switch squadmates) but better to side with full disclosure. Hope that helps anyone in the future.

I know this is a very old thread but i just got this bug after replaying this game so many times. I'm not really sure what to do since i pretty much finished everything before I did both loyalty missions of Mordin's and Grunt's. Grunt's mission is the only one not automatically working when i talk to the shaman to trigger it. Using gibbed didnt really help much, since the mission is still active in my journal not completed. I've tried using gibbed to change his loyalty, but once i head back into the game, the mission is still not completed in the journal, but people are talking is if it has been completed. And when I do talk to the shaman to see what happens, it's just the conversation of stories to tell him, and when i opt out of it, I get an automatic mission report that the loyalty mission is complete. BUT the mission in the journal is still active. AND when I try to talk to grunt in the ship again, he is talking like he is still waiting on the loyalty mission to be completed. Is there a way i can just manually do this mission cause right now i have this really annoying bug. I still have other missions to do loyalty or otherwise, I'm not sure if doing those first and coming back for grunt's loyalty mission might change anything. Again this is an old thread, I havent come across this bug until now despite playing this game for years. Thanks so much if you can help.
