Mass Effect 3 Collectors Edition

ok - so i have a Mass Effect 3 Collector's Edition that i purchased back on 3/6/12 for the PS3.  i imported several game files from Mass Effect 2 where all of the Collector's Edition weapons and armor are there.  but when i imported my Shepard from the Mass Effect Trilogy version of Mass Effect 2, none of the N7 equipment is there.  am i missing something important here?
