    The Demo servers are down for good, (That is not really surprising if you consider that ME3 is a nearly 5 years old game.) but you still can play the Demo.
    Disconnect your internet connection before starting the Demo and the Game will run.

    The full Game servers are up and running.

is that "turn off your wifi and then reactivate it" or just turn off wifi and have some other internet access?

Really not sure I would even want to buy the full game if I can't get the demo working.  And how long has it been since there has been a response to this from EA?  "Ask.Answer.Level Up."  Are you kidding me?  There has been a lot of the ask part, not much of the other two.
