If you happen to be using Windows 10 and have your Region & Language -> Languages set to English (Ireland), changing this to English (United Kingdom) seems to fix the issue.
I just found a topic on Reddit where someone claims to have found a possible solution that worked for them. Here's what they had to say:
"Hi all!
I just wanted to present this solution for anyone else that after the patch just got a black screen when trying to launch the game.
Possible fix #1 Head on over to "my documents" and rename the ME: Andromeda directory to something else. This forces Origin to re-download any save game files, while also creating new settings files. For some this has solved their problems.
Possible fix #2 (what helped me) Head on over to the installation dir of ME: Andromeda and remove the .exe files for Andromeda/Andromeda Trial. This forces Origin to re-download the .exe files so you have the latest version of them. For me, this was the solution- for some reason these .exe files did not update as intended after the patch.
Hope this helps anyone else facing the same problem! See you in Andromeda!"
Unfortunately, I have not had a chance to try this because my gaming rig (I'm on my toaster laptop) is disassembled right now, as I'm in the middle of upgrading my motherboard. Unfortunately, after redeeming the service plan on my last one, which was giving me troubles, and trading it in towards my new one, I realized that I left my CPU cooler bracket offset screws on the old board. Thankfully, I was able to call Microcenter and they were able to find my old board and remove the offset screws from it. So, they set those aside and I'll pick them up tomorrow.
Once I rebuild my gaming rig, I'll try the poster from Reddit's suggestions and will report back.
I hope EA takes us into consideration, because I did not pay for a broken game. I almost, almost wish I got the game on the PS4, because at least then it would have worked, despite being graphically inferior.
If I still can't get the game to work tomorrow, I will open a case with EA support directly.

@djejkobc I can see you've already checked there, be sure to check back from time to time as more steps are being added frequently.
Shouldn't this be addressed in a patch or hotfix from BioWare? Customers shouldn't have to go through all this trouble to launch a game they paid full price for.
Please stop posting that useless post I've done everything in it and none of it works! What I and I am sure the rest of the community would like EA to do is role back its clearly faulty patch so that we can play the game. I payed 100 + dollars to play the game and I've only gotten to play it twice glitch free since it was released. Further I would appreciate it if EA took the time to test their code before they deploy. Your customers should not be treated like your own personal sandbox or free labor to correct problems you should have addressed before release. As an engineer holding a degree in computer engineering I find EA's practices and treatment of their customers to be ethically questionable. There are lots of great games out there and lots of great game companies, you should remember that in your treatment of your community and customers. This is likely the last time I ever buy a game developed at EA. FIX IT!
I had this problem too. Tried those 15 fixes and they didn't help at all.
Then tried downclocking my GPU by 100MHz core and memory and it worked.
Some GPUs come with stock OC.
What about the remaining 5%?

No solution posted here thus far has worked for me either, I even went as far as doing a full restore of Win 10. The game worked perfect for me right up until the latest patch, I sure as hell didn't break it.

Solution that worked for me:
Changing the default windows language from English (Ireland) to English (US) worked.

Look around more thoroughly. THIS is a peer to peer forum, on a game player community website. No one from Bioware has ever dropped in here to say "hello". WE never patched anything from here, we sell nothing whatsoever, we just help out with the less complex of game troubles that a gamer can solve for himself / herself.
From where I sit, it's been more Microsoft's meddling than EA's.
Absolutely @Gorath_the_Elder I keep trying to point out that its not the game its generally a problem with the Windows installation being incorrectly configured and Microsofts recent updates, especially to Windows 10 havent helped at all. Contrary to some players personal beliefs there are 10s of thousands of users playing the game without any real issues.
I dont work for EA either, just a gamer trying to help others.

It can be extremely frustrating to be in the 5% group of players whose game won't launch. I do think it's more of a Windows OS issue as opposed to anything that patch 1.07 did. I don't really like Windows 10, but I'm stuck with it as it was my only option on a new PC I bought about 6 months ago. I also had a similar issue with FO4 & Witcher 3, where after playing for 60-70 hours, the game(s) just would no longer launch. I did the following, which made my gaming life much less frustrating:
1-Created an exception for Origin/Steam/and GOG in my AV program (Trend Micro). I also create an exception for any game that I'm playing.
2-Created a desktop short cut for any game that I'm playing, then start the game by right clicking on that icon to "run as administrator". I keep Origin/Steam/GOG (which ever service is relevant to the game I'm playing) minimized in the task bar, but I never start the game from within them.
Since doing these things I haven't had any launch issues with any games that I'm playing, which is currently MEA. You may have already tried these things, but I thought if you haven't, it might be a fix for you. Much easier than uninstalling and reinstalling your game or OS.

I have the exact same issue as OP, so far I have tried:
- Updating Windows 10
- Checked that my graphics card drivers are up to date
- Running the game in offline mode
- Running both Origin and the game itself as administrator
- Repairing the game from the Origin client
- Updating the game from the Origin client
- Making exceptions for both the game and the Origin client in my Windows Firewall and Antivirus software so they wouldn't block anything
- Reinstalling all of my Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables
- Reinstalling Origin
- Reinstalling the game itself (this one was the most tedious because the 45 gb download took me 8 hours, so I'd rather not do it again)
None of these helped me, the problem is always the same, no black screen, no error, just nothing. I have included my DxDiag file, any help would be appreciated!

it worked for me. start the game with origin in offline mode. u can go online later.
Removed the 2 exe files from the game directory and rebooted the PC after that repaired or downloaded the game and its working again
Just bought the game on sale, and does not launch the majority of the time.....tried the above solutions...nothing. I'm about done w/ EA...
do a clean install of your graphics software. Ie if you have a nvidia card installed. Uninstall the drivers and remove any reference to it on the machine. Then install the most uptodate but stable version. stay away from the beta version of the software. should work then. if not give up as the software company that released the game 5months ago have given up on it.They released a statement at the weekend stating this!
