mass effect crashes on startup, anyone know how to fix it?

I'm using orgin and as soon as i'm launching mass effect 1 it closes itself down. I've already tried to run it as administrator and changed the compatibility mode to windows xp (service pack). I've a...

Yes i have the minimum System Requirements, i've already checked that. Does anyone know anything else you can do?

There could be some software running on your machine that could be interfering, to check this please try a clean boot before starting the game: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135
